KAMK is designed for geophysical investigations of vertical and directional wells till 2500 m, which were drilled for searching and prospecting of solid minerals (ore, coal), underground fresh water, engineering- geological studies.
The base of KAMK consists of:
- “GEKTOR” or “VULKAN-V3” digital register, which provides gathering, storage and data processing;
- pulling and running equipment with drive unit and technological gauges;
- the package of downhole tools of serial and individual production under technical requirements of a customer;
- means of metrological control;
- the package of technological and application programmes;
- on-board computer of Notebook type.
All equipment elements and measurement units are installed in special body on chassis of the following automobiles as UAZ-452, Gazelle 4×4, GAZ-3308 Sadko, ZIL-131, URAL_4320, KamAZ-43114/43118, tracked gross-country vehicle MTLBu, GAZ-34039 and etc.

“GEKTOR” DIGITAL REGISTER
“Gektor” register is designed for digital recording of well logging data into the memory of on-board computer with simultaneous visual operational quality control of recorded information. The register is a specialized device of data gathering, its initial processing and output in the shape of diagrams by means of plotter. Scale and form are given by a user.

DIGITAL REGISTER “VULKAN V3”
“VULKAN” Digital register is designed for information reception from downhole geophysical equipment and its conversion into digital form.
“VULKAN V3” register is a modern realization of “GEKTOR” register and includes all possibilities of “GEKTOR” with addition of new functions.
Application Field: surface equipment at geophysical investigation of drilled, controlled, injected, stopped and producing wells using downhole equipment.
It allows to connect one, two, three-core downhole tools with power supply by constant current up to 150V, 0.5 A. If there are outer power supply sources with supply by alternative current up to 50Hz, 200 – 400 Hz and constant current up to 300 V, 1 A.
“VULKAN V3” register complete set includes:
- downhole tool software-controlled power supply source;
- commutation unit: provides various standard schemes of downhole tool connection, connection of outer power supply sources and also disclosing-closing control by constant current;
- interface with gauges of depth and magnetic marks: provides depth gauge with power supply (+12V, +5V), signal receipt and decoration from depth gauge in TRIAS, KARAT, PetroAl’yans formats, arbitrary coefficient of depth pulse recalculating in sm;
- decoration unit of information from downhole tools;
- interface with a computer.

ELECTRIC POWER EQUIPMENT
It provides line or self-contained power supply of all KAMK blocks by alternating nonstabilized current of commercial frequency. Electric power equipment contains:
- diesel electrical generator 4, 2 kW in power;
- complex power block.
“BATYR” power block provides stabilized alternating voltage: 220 V – 5 A; 127 V – 5 A; 110 V – 3 A; 36 V
– 2 A. It provides output voltage automatic stabilization. It has digital display, mode of manual regulation, plain and convenient calibration.
Voltage 12 V is used for inner illumination of KAMK, rear view headlamps and loudspeaker device.

KAMK DOWNHOLE TOOL
Any type of downhole tools, which fit in form and level of inlet signals to “GEKTOR” register specifications can be used in order to investigate wells in composition of “KAMK- ALMAZ-1”.
Measurement unity is provided by using metrological checking means and calibration tests.
Downhole tool technical-metrological characteristics, which are more commonly used for investigation of ore, coal, hydrogeological, engineering-geological and engineering-exploitation wells.
KAMK-“ALMAZ-1” TECHNOLOGICAL AND APPLICATION SOFTWARE
Complex functioning in different technological modes is realized under control of on-board computer. Developed system software, which realize downhole tool calibration, registration digital system testing, tool standardization, information record in measurement mode. Moreover, system programs provide visualization, preliminary fragmentary review of information collection and its registration on flexible and hard computer discs. Programs are functioning in dialogue mode, that allows operator to choose measurement technology for every downhole tool through “Menu” also it allows to enter necessary office information about well and tool, organize data record in separate file and processed information delivery in form of diagrams, LAS-format and etc.
Initial method by method measurement data processing is realized with use of full package of application programs. The last comprise programs of initial data editing, calculation of petrophysical and analytical parameters according to every method, estimation of measurement quality by coincidence of test signals and reproducibility of basic and control diagrams, calibration coefficient calculation, measurement quality determination according to calculations mean-square nominal error for required parameters.
Moreover, there is a service packet of programs for data reduction to single step of quantization according to depth, reduction to single record, compression and expansion point of time scale, correction according to magnetic marks, settlement of dimensions and quantity of fields for plotter, type of derivable curves, their displacement and other functions.
