SCOPE OF APPLICATION
it is designed to determine the technical condition of pipes in multi-string wells.
FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES
The hybrid device allows data recording in autonomous mode when connected to a battery pack (rechargeable batteries are used) or in cable mode when connected to a telemetry module. Another advantage of the hybrid device is that data recorded in cable mode is saved to the device's internal memory, ensuring reliable data acquisition even if the cable is damaged (with poor telemetry).
The use of a modern microprocessor has doubled the data recording speed without loss of recorded quality, significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio, and producing normalized decay curves.
It is equipped with four electromagnetic probes: a long and a short axial probe, and two transverse probes (which allow for the detection of transverse anomalies in the inner pipe). The optimal coil design has been confirmed by extensive testing and simulation.
The device's highly sensitive thermometer allows for the detection of flow and leak intervals.
The gamma-ray (GR) logging channel allows for the correlation of the logging data with the geological section.
Application in drilling wells to monitor:
- the depth of the conductor casing run below the intermediate casing, and the intermediate casing below the production casing;
- the position of the couplings of the production and intermediate casings, and the conductor;
- compliance of the installed casing intervals (with different diameters and wall thicknesses) with the well design;
- the interval of liner (tail pipe) installation;
- the casing integrity and the degree of wear during the tool's operation.
Applications in operating wells:
- detection of defects such as cracks, corrosion intervals, mechanical abrasion of the walls, and inner casing collapse;
- clarification of perforation zone boundaries;
- location of coupling disconnections and casing breaks;
- well structure analysis (determination of coupling positions, casing shoe depths (up to the fourth casing), packers, valves, filters, etc., obtaining a complete picture of the location of all pipes by depth).
